According to the programme, the function will kick off at 9:00am and end at 5:00pm.

National Resistance Movement (NRM) has invited Opposition party leaders to attend tomorrow's celebrations for President Yoweri Museveni's election victory.

Government spokesperson, Ofwono Opondo told New Vision that NRM party supporters and members of the public who believe President Museveni's reelection will foster peace and tranquility are also invited to attend.

According to the programme, the function will kick off at 9:00am and end at 5:00pm.

Opondo said after the end of the speeches at 5:00pm, party supporters who love music and dancing will take to the stage.

Museveni was last month elected President of Uganda to serve another five-year-term.

Amama Mbabazi one of the eight Presidential candidates who were in the race challenged Museveni's victory in the Supreme Court but the nine justices who presided over the case dismissed his petition.

Opondo told New Vision that NRM party supporters heading to Kololo will paint the city yellow beginning Friday.

"We have asked all the 117 district chairpersons to organise transport of at least one bus to Kampala," he said.

According to the programme, drinks and snacks will be served at the venue.

Saturday Vision has learnt the function will not be attended by foreign dignitaries as the party has saved them for the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for May.
