Skipper Ismail Katabira and his team are counting days to the historical trip to Anfield after winning the Standard Chartered Road to Anfield Tournament over the weekend at Namboole.

Cipla Quality Chemicals Industries beat Bukedde 1-0 in the final with a lone goal scored by Simon Mulwasira who is not a Liverpool fan but still can't wait to travel to Anfield on a three day tour where they will watch the game between Liverpool and Watford on May 7.

The team will also have an opportunity to train with the Reds at their home ground and according to Katabira it is ‘a dream come true'

"I am sure this trip will change our lives and my teammates are all excited," he said during a press briefing at their offices at Luzira.

Meanwhile Quality Chemicals CEO Nevin Bradford and HRM Harrison Kiggundu commended the players for winning the event adding that their appearance at Anfield will also help them market their products.

Katabira and his teammates Mulwasira, Moses Kifumba, Francis Wabwire, Aloysius Ayimbisibwe and Ivan Kisekka will enjoy an all-expense paid for trip.

They are expected to travel with three officials Kiggundu and coach's Kenneth Okurut and Baker Kimera whose travel expenses will be handled by Cipla QCL.
