Uganda Hippos' coach Kefa Kisala is confident his side will get the result they need to advance after a one-all draw in Kigali on Saturday.

Rwanda U20 side hosted their Ugandan counterparts in the first leg of the CAF U20 African Championship qualifiers first round at Kigali's Regional stadium in Nyamirambo.

Uganda came from a goal down to force one-all draw, playing with one man down for the last 25 minutes of the game after goalkeeper Saidi Keni was sent off for handling the ball outside his area as he attempted to foil a Rwandan attack in the 67th minute.

The hosts took the lead in the 18th minute through a Blaise Itangishaka header which found Keni flat footed from a well taken cross from the left flank by Savio Nshuti.

After exerting considerable pressure, the Hippos levelled in the 33rd minute through Edrisa Lubega who had to first beat off a challenge from Rwandan defender  Fred Ngabo to clinically slot the ball past goal keeper  Jimmy Nzeyurwanda.
