Solar street lights excite Arua residents

The installation of solar street lights along Enyau road in Arua municipality has excited the residents in Arua town.

The lights installation and construction of roads which include Abattoir, Idi-Amin and Afra was funded by the World Bank through the Uganda Support to Municipalities Infrastructure Development Program (USMID).

Arua municipal mayor, Charles Asiki appealed to the public to safeguard the lights and always report any cases of theft.

A section of people in Arua expressed their gratitude saying the project will help solve problems of insecurity in the area.

They urged the municipality to ensure that police patrols the streets to avoid vandalism of the lights.
