Shooter's pub shooting victim escapes from hospital

Ali Zikusoka, 24, a business man selling Waragi in Soroti and a resident of Bugiri district was shot about two weeks ago after he tried to disarm a police officer who was trying to arrest him according to the mid-eastern police spokesperson, Juma Hassan Nyene.

A man who was admitted at Soroti regional referral hospital after he was allegedly shot by police in Soroti town around Shooter's bar escaped from hospital but he has been re-arrested.

Ali Zikusoka, 24, a business man selling Waragi in Soroti and a resident of Bugiri district was shot about two weeks ago after he tried to disarm a police officer who was trying to arrest him according to the mid-eastern police spokesperson, Juma Hassan Nyene.

"Zikusoka was arrested in Kigadani ward while hiding in one of the houses," said Nyene.

Contrary, Zikusoka says he was not being treated while at hospital because he did not have money for meeting medical bills.

Nyene, while responding to Zikusoka's accusations says police is not responsible for treating Zikusoka and he has several cases to answer in the courts of law.
