Student steals turkeys for birthday party

A senior three student of Ngora Parents Senior Secondary School in Ngora district has survived lynching for allegedly stealing four turkeys and a cock for his birthday party.

Charles Ekalam, the Local Council (LC) 1 chairman of Tididiek village identified the suspect as Abraham Olupot.

According to Margret Amoding, the owner of the turkeys, they were stolen at the time she was attending to a patient.

"Cases of petty theft are on the rise in the area," said Ekalam
