Kibaale - Casual workers at Kagadi Hospital in Kibaale district have gone on a sit down strike over alleged delayed payments for their services.

The workers on strike say they haven't been paid for close to two months now. They say they have no money to see them through the Easter season.

They earn between 50,000 - 100,000 shillings.

When we contacted Dr. James Olow, the Medical superintendent Kagadi Hospital for a comment about the strike, he declined to say anything.

Patients are complaining of the filthy environment particularly in the toilets, bathrooms and a stench from the hospital mortuary. Some of the patients have been forced to escape before they are discharged.
