Bundibugyo attackers have military skills - Police

The intention of some of the attackers is to grab guns from police and other security organs.

Bundibugyo - The Rwenzori regional police spokesperson, Lydia Tushabe, has said that the police are now treating the attackers in the districts of Kasese and Bundibugyo as a militia group.

Tushabe explains that the intention of some of the attackers is to grab guns from police and other security organs.

She adds that the mode of attack the group is applying clearly explains that they have been militarily trained.

Over 60 people have so far been arrested in connection with the attack.

She stated that security intendeds to engage both religious and local leaders to deliver peace and reconciliation massages to the communities.
