She was warned against interfering with the ongoing investigations

MASAKA - The Masaka Chief Magistrates court has granted bail to the Lwengo district woman MP elect, Cissy Namujju(NRM),  who is charged with forging academic documents.

Namujju was remanded to Masaka Central Prison on Monday after the Masaka Chief Magistrate, Samuel Munoba, issued a warrant of arrest following her failure to comply with the court summons.

Munoba granted Namujju a non cash bail term of sh5m on grounds that it is her constitutional right to get bail however, warned Namujju against interfering with any ongoing investigations.

Earlier, the prosecution had strongly objected to the bail application on grounds that Namujju would interfere with the ongoing investigations.
