The file is to be presented to a judge of the High Court who will also listen to a revision that has been requested for by the DPP

High court has re-called Dr Kiiza Besigye's file, there by halting the hearing of his case that was supposed to kick off Tuesday morning in Kasangati.

Besigye is seeking orders to be immediately and unconditionally released from his home confinement by the police and other security organs for revision.

The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) called for a revision of the decision that was made by the Kasangati Grade One magistrate Prossy Katushabe to listen to the case which seeks to have legal action taken against Police boss Gen. Kale Kayihura and the Kampala North Regional Police Commander Wesley Nganizi which the DPP objects to.

Solomon Muyita, the deputy spokesperson of the judiciary noted that the file is to be presented to a judge of the High Court who will also listen to the revision that has been requested for by the DPP before sending back the file to Kasangati with fresh instructions.

Besigye's lawyer David Mpanga vowed to follow up the case to ensure that his client obtains his liberty that is guaranteed in the constitution.
