Providing lunch and light meals for school going children has become a major concern especially in primary and pre-primary schools.

Reports by education stakeholders suggest that many children of school going age are dropping out of school and academic performance gravely affected because many learners study on empty stomachs.

Administrators in most rural schools consider feeding as optional.

Arua One today sought the views of some pupils, Parents and school authorities on the effect of lack of feeding in schools.

A primary seven pupil says eating at school is good for time management.

Another pupil says some parents may not be able to afford lunch.
