After acquiring her degree in food science and technology from Makerere University, Hazel Namuwaya, hunted for a job in vain.  Like most fresh graduates, she thought the grass was greener on the other side so she relocated to Norway.

That did not work so well and she was forced to return. But after trying out a job that left a bad taste in her mouth, she quit to embark on processing juice from her parents’ home in Kawempe.

This idea she had earlier presented as a class project while she was still in school. However, nothing became of that and she gave up on that dream. Now that she was up against insurmountable odds, Namuwaya turned to her stale dream to save her.
