Kaberamaido School extremely understaff

The chairperson School Management Committee (SMC) for Kaburuburu primary school in Otuboi Sub County Kaberamaido district decries the inadequate teaching staff which has crippled teaching.

John Oguti the chairperson, SMC Kaburuburu Primary School explains that the school has a total enrolment of 700 pupils against seven teachers which has forced them to hire a non-qualified teacher to help in teaching primary three.

Oguti is worried that using unqualified teachers will not yield good results as they don't know even how to plan a lesson.

Valentine Ebinu, the head teacher Kaburuburu primary school during a telephone interview, told Etop radio that the community teacher will help until the staff number is increased.
