Omulala Primary School in Asuret sub county, Soroti district with its current enrolment of 451 pupils is faced with shortage of class rooms.
The worsening situation has forced the school administration to combine P.1 and P.2 in one open grass thatched classroom.
According to the head teacher, Augustine Elukut, also says the school has no houses to accommodate the 10 teachers they have.
He adds that the existing grass thatched teachers’ houses are in a sorry state and others have been eaten by the termites.
“Asuret sub county local government at one time promised us a classroom block however; nothing has been done to that effect.
However, when New Vision contacted the outgoing LC 3 chairman for Asuret sub county, John Calvin Elenyu, he apealed to the community and the school administration to be patient until the end of this financial year.
