Two first half goals from Richard Wandyaka and defender Musa Walangalira gave home side JMC Hippos FC a solid 2-0 win over hapless Express FC in a highly physical battle at Kakindu Stadium on Tuesday.

Wandyaka headed in the first after 33 minutes off Asuman Bajampola's free kick and Walangalira nodded in the second off Bajampola‘s corner deep in first half injury time to end Express‘ four match unbeaten run.

"We struggled to score goals in the last four league matches and today's win is a relief following a good response from my players during training," said JMC Hippos head coach James Odoch.

The result left Express FC captain Vincent Kayiizi disgruntled by the officiating.

"We were unlucky with the officiating today but that's the game so we have to plan for the Vipers match that comes next. We still have more games to play in the league though," said Kayiizi.
