The new chairman of Uganda Baseball and Softball Association (UBASA), Denis Kasozi, has promised to elevate the standard of the game by holding activities throughout the year at all the existing centers.

He said this after the league games that rolled off this weekend at the Uganda-Japan Friendship Ground in Gayaza where Youth Sharing Center beat Kyambogo 8-2 in the first game of the day.

Kasozi thanked the Japanese for sponsoring the league and promised a total change in the image of the sport by the end of the first two years of his term.

It is understood next weekend's games will be played in Lugazi.

The other teams in the league are Lugazi Community, Lugazi Mehta, ARC Mpigi Little League and Shawona in Luwero.
