She Cranes captain, Peace Proscovia is hoping to put up a spirited performance for her English side, Loughborough Lightning this weekend as she strives to better her chances of winning the top scorers accolade in the Netball Super League this season.

USPA's 2015 netball player of the year, performed poorly on Saturday scoring 15 goals while her teammate Vanessa Walker added 29 goals as Lightning crashed to a 44-60 defeat against Team Bath.

Proscovia's low tally saw her drop two places to third position on the scorers' chart with 226 goals in 267 attempts.

The defeat also affected her Lightning team that dropped a place to fifth position with nine points in seven games behind table-leaders Mavericks, Thunder, Team Bath and Surrey Storm.

"The competition is so tricky and sometimes hard to determine who is taking the next game because you can lose to a team today and defeat them next time," Proscovia said.

She added, "I am still lucky that I have not sustained any injuries.

The crowd is big and lovely and this has continued to boost my morale ahead of the remaining encounters".
