KCCA FC's artificial turf to be laid this week

The installation of the artificial turf at KCCA's home ground in Lugogo will expected this week.

The project that has undergone five stages is now at stone-dusting phase with laying of the artificial turf as the last step.

On Wednesday, FIFA consultant on natural grass and artificial turf installation, Stephen Baker inspected the facility to make a report that will give a go ahead to a lay the turf.

FIFA through the Challenger Project will see several countries have artificial turf pitches in a bid to develop the sport.

The artificial turf will be the second such playing surface in Uganda after Njeru Technical center in Jinja. The club management plans to have floodlights on the same venue.
