St. Lawrence University BSC has taken the lead of Hurricken Group in the national Beach Soccer League.
In tightly contested encounter on Sunday, St. Lawrence beat Talented that tamed champions MUBS the previous weekend. St Lawrence beat Talented 6-5 to dislodge MUBS (18points) from the summit.
Buwanika Bulls, Kabalagala Rangers and Stormers BSC also won their respective games to keep momentum for the league title.
The Wandegeya based YMCA BSC beat hitherto sole Monsoon group leaders Real Galacticals 4-2 and Naturinda attributed it to their ambition challenge for the playoffs and eventually the league title.
YMCA had dipped in form and kept mid-table but the win moved them to the fourth place with 13points while Real Galacticals become joint table leaders with Dalumba International BSC on 16points.
Galacticals were well-placed to win what turned out to be match of the day but their failure to maintain composure saw team kingpin Abdukarim Kibalama focused more on quarrelling with fellow players and officials than playing the game before they conceded the last two goals.
