FUFA has asked President Yoweri Museveni to charter another plane to fly the Uganda Cranes for the 2017 Africa Nations Cup qualifier in Burkina Faso on March 24.

Uganda will play Burkina Faso on March 24 and host the west africans here four days later.

FUFA president Moses Magogo said that a positive response from State House would help increase the confidence of the Cranes.

The federation has also asked for up to $530000 (sh1.9b) to honour the Uganda Cranes' Africa Nations Cup double header with the Burkinabe.

Uganda Cranes are drawn in Group D with 2013 AFCON finalists Burkina Faso, Botswana and the Comoros to battle for Africa's next top football showpiece in Gabon.

"Burkina Faso is already assured of a chartered flight here which means they can even arrive for the return here before we get back (from the first leg," Magogo explained.

"We have written to government but we are yet to receive a response," he added.

Uganda opened the campaign with a 1-0 win over Comoros last September. In their last two World Cup qualifiers the Cranes tamed Togo 1-0 away and 3-0 at Namboole in an earlier double header last November.
