Pemba blasts Ivan Byekwaso

Renowned bodybuilder Ivan Byekwaso has parted ways with sponsor Jackson Pemba in a move that is likely to affect the muscleman.

Byekwaso appeared to be enjoying good funding amidst the cash-strapped Uganda sports landscape.

The fallout follows reports of the muscleman accusing his sponsor of not fulfilling his promises.

And Pemba finally let the cat out of the bag during his lavish 43rd Birthday celebration in which he treated children to a party at Rubaga Miracle Center on Saturday.

Pemba who accused Byekwaso for being so ungrateful declared that their rosy relationship is over.

"I am surprised to hear this from Byekwaso. I offered him USD40,000 to go to America. But now he says I never helped him.  But I leave everything to God," said a visible irritated sports promoter.

Rather than give a sweet birthday message, Pemba appeared very upset. "I had better plans for Byekwaso but he has let me down. I made him World Champion. But he is not grateful. He does not know that he is a hero now," he ranted further.

Pemba a chairman of sports promotions company Pemba Sport Africa sponsored Byekwaso for the INBA Bodybuilding World Cup and the Natural Olympia last year.

Byekwaso emerged champion in the World Cup and Mr. Universe. He finished fifth in Natural Olympia.F ollowing the feat, Bwekwaso is in the running for the USPA vote for Sportsman of the Year 2015.
