Nabeta loses father, suspends campaigns

Nebeta, a former MP and current NRM flagger bearer is facing a tight race against the incumbent Paul Mwiru of Forum for Democratic Change.

 

Nathan Samson Igeme Nabeta a candidate for Jinja east parliamentary seat has suspended his campaigns after his father Nathan Nebeta died on Wednesday.

 

Family spokesperson Wasswa Mufubiro explained that they have decided to suspend the campaigns until after the burial on Tuesday.

 

Nebeta, a former MP and current NRM flagger bearer is facing a tight race against the incumbent Paul Mwiru of Forum for Democratic Change.

 

Nabeta noted that his late father scrambled to low blood pressure.

 

"In the morning around 5:00am as we were rushing him to Jinja regional referral hospital on arrival he was announced dead. He has been facing the problem for the past weeks and thought he would be better," he said  

 

Nebata praised his father as a business person who supported him to also international business relations. He added that the late was a person who had the spirit of educating his children and that this has created a legacy for his mentorship in the area.

 

Nabeta senior was aged 84 years.

 

Hajji Siraji Isabirye Kendembi a young brother to the deceased said the body was taken for dressing to Kampala.

 

On Friday it will be brought back to his home along Gokale road while a service to celebrate his life will be at St. James church in Jinja municipality.
