Faruku Miya ruled out of CHAN

Uganda Cranes team captain at the Africa Nations Champions (CHAN) finals in Rwanda Faruku Miya has been ruled out of the tournament with a  shoulder injury.

Miya and Ismail Watenga sustained injuries during Uganda's Group D opening match against Mali at the Championships at Umuganda stadium in Rwanda. The match ended 2-2.

Miya fell awkwardly at the match and injured himself while Watenga had a right thigh injury from the same game.

Miya was substituted by Muzamiru Mutyaba while Watenga went out for Mathias Kigonya in the second half.

Although Miya took to the social media to say he is officially out of the tournament, there is still hope for Watenga to resume training soon and prepare for subsequent games.

Uganda Cranes next game is against Zambia on Saturday.
