Former minister Patrick Mwondha dead

Uganda Peoples' Congress (UPC) vice president, Patrick Mwondha has died.

He died today at Uganda Heart institute, Mulago, where he had been hospitalised since December 28, 2015, family members said.

Mwondha served in the Milton Obote government from 1980- 1985 as the Minister of Local government.  

He served as Member of Parliament for Bukooli North from 1980 to 1985 and from 2001 to 2006. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly.

He went to Busoga College Mwiri, Makerere University where he obtained a Bachelor of Sciences and Statistics. He also had a Masters in Economics.
