KCCA FC sign SCVU duo

KCCA FC head coach Mike Mutebi promised that the versatile duo will reinforce the team’s attack

Barely a week after the capture of striker Ceaser Okhuti from arch-rivals Express FC, KCCA FC has continued to strengthen their muscle in the January transfer window with two more signings.


While unveiling Farouk Kawooya and Wanock Petit at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo on Sunday morning, KCCA FC head coach Mike Mutebi promised that the versatile duo will reinforce the team's attack.


"It's a pleasure to us that we have signed Kawooya and Wanock, their addition to the team will help us to have more goal scoring opportunities an area that has affected us before the first round ended". Mutebi noted.


Kawooya who made his name at SC Victoria University at the wing side promised to give his best at KCCA FC as the club bids to win their 11th league title.


"I am hear not by accident, I have joined KCCA for business and am confident I will play to my best to fulfill the club's hopes entrusted in me" Kawooya remarked.


The duo joins the attacking talents already at the club like Ceaser Okhuti, Derrick Nsibambi, Paul Mucureezi, Nelson Ssenkatuka and Tanzanian born Shaban Kondo.


Mutebi also confirmed the club was in advanced talks to re-sign striker Herman Wasswa with only paperwork and some negotiations between them and Kenyan side Sofa Paka FC left to confirm the deal.


Wasswa joined the Kenyan outfit in June last year on a two year contract before falling out with the club over salary.
