Defender Ibrahim Kizza Ayub joins Soana FC

The intelligent and hardworking defender has been a target for Soana FC President Obedi Smart for quite some time

Azam Uganda Premier League club Soana FC has completed the signing of defender Ibrahim Kizza from Express FC on a two-year deal.

 

The intelligent and hardworking defender who joined Express FC last summer from KCCA FC has been a target for Soana FC President Obedi Smart for quite some time.

 

The 23 year defender is owed by his former club Express FC wages of seven months. Kizza signed a deal worth sh10m at the club offices on Thursday.


According to the club President, Obedi Smart the new capture will help bolster the Kavumba-based team ahead of the second round.


"Ibrahim Kizza is an intelligent player. He will add something special to the team. He is quick, can defend, his hardworkin and his experienced."


Kizza himself believes he will work tooth and nail to see that the club attains its goal of winning the first League trophy and also developing his career.


He said: "My target as a player is to help Soana register as many victories as possible."


He joins defenders, Timothy Musinguzi, Shafiq Nana, Mike Kabanda and Siraje Sevume in the Central Defence, and defender Isa Mubiru and Striker Davis Ssali who play for the Kampala Regional side Soana FC young have been promoted to the Super league side.


Kizza, who was born in October 1992 has begun his career with first division side Naguru FC, joined Victors SC, KCCA FC, Express FC and now Soana FC.


Soana FC finished ninth in the Azam Premier League with 21 points in 15 games played. The Azam Uganda Premier league is expected to start in February.
