The Paramount Chief of the Acholi Cultural Institution David Onen Acana II has cautioned his subjects against burning grass as the dry season sets in.

He says hunters should first wait for the people to harvest crops and grass for thatching huts.  

Rwot Acana told radio Rupiny in an interview from his palace in Kanyagoga Parish in Bardege division in Gulu Municipality that in the past, the Acholi people would not set grass on fire without informing their neighbours.
