Woman jailed for life for killing husband, children

A woman who killed her husband and two children has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Nakawa High Court sentenced Edith Kayaga, 38, a resident of Buwaate in Wakiso district was convicted on three counts that include murder and arson.

 Kayaga killed her husband, Ismail Kawoya, 47, and their two children; Shakra Nakubulwa, 5 and Saidah Namale after picking a quarrel over land.

 Kayaga killed the trio by setting their house on fire. She committed the offence on June, 2013 at about 2:00am.
