A fourteen-year-old primary seven pupil of Kinyamaseke Primary School in Munkunyu Sub County in Kasese District on Tuesday morning delivered a baby boy shortly after she began her integrated science exam.

John Kule, one of the monitors of the PLE exams at the school revealed that the girl developed labour pains shortly after 9am while sitting her exam.

“She developed labour pains, raised her hand and asked to be removed from the examination room,” Kule said.

The girl was rushed to Kinyamaseke Integrated Health Centre III where health workers worked around the clock to ensure that she delivered normally.

Anna Bwambale the head teacher of Kinyamaseke Primary School confirmed the incident.

The District Inspector of Schools in Charge of Special Needs, Krutsum Masika, said that after the child birth, the girl concluded her paper at her maternity bed.
