FIFTEEN schools are currently benefiting from New Vision’s newspapers in education (NIE) initiative that aims to inculcate a reading culture in students of secondary schools.

Last year, 20 schools benefitted from the NIE arrangement.

An additional 15 schools have been selected this year to receive free weekly newspapers in order to help students understand better all the secondary school subjects using current news, advertorial and other pull outs.

“When it comes to NiE, we have the best content, the language is simple, we write for everybody. We are sensitive to the content and we know it is a family newspaper that is supposed to be consumed by adults and children” John Eremu the New Vision Features Editor said.

New Vision in conjunction with Private Education Development Network and Amani Initiative facilitated the event at Arua Social Center.
