FOOD, cultural diversity, music, partying, business, happy people is what Kampala welcomes as the fourth Kampala City Carnival gets underway.

Many roads have been sealed off; numerous stages have been erected for musical performances and are being prepared as people from all walks of life snake through to soak in the party mood.

This time it is bigger and better as more sponsors and corporate firms have joined in.

Kampala City Council Authority Executive Director will flagging off the carnival from Watoto Church building before being driven through the city.

KCCA spokesman Peter Kauju said that more than two million people from around the country and neighbouring states are going to take part in this year's edition.

Top local artists will entertain revelers at the railway grounds.
