Police in Lyantonde district are hunting for a suspected prostitute for allegedly stabbing and robbing her client of sh160,000.

Police in Lyantonde district are hunting for a suspected prostitute for allegedly stabbing and robbing her client of sh160,000.


The suspect has been identified as Evas Kashabe, 22, a resident of Lyantonde town.

The victim Fred SSekyanzi, 25, of Nyendo – Masaka was rushed to Lyantonde hospital in critical condition.

Ssekyanzi is said to have gone to Lyantonde town where he met the suspect, a one Kanshabe. The two are said to have agreed on sh10,000 for the transaction before they left to a lodge in the area.

However, Ssekyanzi attempted to leave the room without paying Kanshabe as they had earlier agreed.

As a result, a bitter argument ensured and later erupted into a fight in which Ssekyanzi was badly stabbed.

Ruth Nkamusima, the OC CIID Lyantonde Police, confirmed the incident saying Ssekyanzi’s intestines were left hanging out of his stomach.

Nkamusima added that Kanshabe robbed Ssekyanzi of all the money he had and disappeared.  Police was notified and took Ssekyanzi to hospital where he’s receiving medical attention.

According to Police, Kanshabe will be charged with attempted murder and robbery if arrested.

A file case number CRB 867/2015 has been opened against her.

Although Ssekyanzi could not speak to us, his nurse said he was steadily recuperating.
