The High Court family division has dismissed former vice president Gilbert Bukenya’s appeal in a case where he is being sued for seducing someone's wife and fathering a child with her.

Justice Persy Tuhaise dismissed the appeal saying that Bukenya has a case to answer.

In her ruling Tuhaise said it is an offence to seduce someone's wedded wife and has to face courts of law.

Bukenya had appealed this court to dismiss Emmanuel Nyabayango case whose wife, Magret Kabasinguzi, he is accused of seducing.

Bukenya argued that his application has a clause that is meant to be interpreted by the Constitutional Court and that also he had paid the complainant sh150m as an out of court settlement.

Justice Tuhaise adjourned the case to November 6 this year.
