The police have postponed the auctioning of the two piglets that were smuggled into Parliament a fortnight ago.
The deputy police force spokesperson, Polly Namaye said they were following the advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The piglets were meant to be auctioned on Monday. “The police has postponed the auction to another date which will be confirmed after the case goes back to court for mention,” Namaye said.
Police sources told New Vision, that the piglets smuggled into Parliament by the two youth now on remand in Luzira Prison until July 4, had become a liability with feeding costs going up.
The piglets were transferred from the Police Special Investigations Division (SID) in Kireka, to a destination yet to be identified.
