KIBAALE - Two unidentified bodies were on Monday morning discovered in the waters of River Nguse by residents crossing the bridge.

The bodies are believed to be of a man in his 30s and a child about four years old.

Residents told the New Vision that one of their own was going for work and saw some thing wrapped in a turpline and alerted authorities who called the Police to the scene.

Godfrey Kyalikampa, one of the people who rushed to the scene first said that the bodies were wrapped three times in a mosquito net, blanket and turpline.

“We had thought that probably some people had stolen things and dumped them in the river but there was an offensive smell,” said Kyalikampa.

The district police commander Kibaale, John Ojokuna Elatu, said that a team has already been dispatched to the area to carry out investigations.

Ojokuna said that their identities are strange in the area and there is no body missing in the vicinity of the river.

“We are investigating and details will be released as soon as possible,” said Ojokuna.
