Former Vice President Gilbert Bukenya has asked the man accusing him of sleeping with his wife and fathering a child with her to give up with the case because he paid him sh150m to settle the matter.

Emmanuel Nyabayango accuses Bukenya of seducing his wife Margaret Kabasinguzi, and later fathering a child with her.

However, Bukenya says he made a sh150m compensation to Nyabayango in 2009 and an agreement was signed to keep the matter out of the media and courts

Bukenya’s lawyer, Macdusman Kabega, asked court to dismiss the case arguing that it’s not in its jurisdiction to issue a declaration that Bukenya’s action was inhuman and unlawful as Nyabayango seeks.

But Nyabayango’s lawyer defended his client urging that even if the two signed a secrecy agreement seducing Nyabayango's wife from their matrimonial home was unlawful.

Justice Persy Tuhaise has set July 1 to deliver her ruling.
