Rally driver Wilberforce Pole Pole has is smiling ear to ear after his Kajara rally team fans bought a Subaru Impreza N10 pro-drive from Cyprus worth sh80m.

Rally driver  Wilberforce Pole Pole has is smiling ear to ear after his Kajara rally team fans bought a Subaru Impreza N10 pro-drive from Cyprus worth sh80m.
 

An excited Pole Pole announced the development at the FMU- Central Moto Club organised awards ceremony for the winners of the Race to Race sprint championship at Africa restaurant in Bakuli on Friday night.
 

Fans led by Dan Katuramu (patron),Keneth Musana chairman and Naboth Baryahabwe bought the car for Pole Pole.
 

“Afande (AIGP Andrew Serowen) and my FMU president (Jack Wavamuno) I have no words to thank these people, but let me just introduce them to you the Kagara rally team fans that have bought me a car which is on its way to Uganda now ,” Pole Pole stated after receiving his award.
 

Baryahabwe told New Vision that their driver has been missing a podium finish narrowly and in most cases because of the car that is why they have decided to buy him a new one.

At the same event cautioned sports fans against any form of hooliganism during competitions because such acts scare investors who would sponsor sports thus killing the development the country.
 

Serowen was mking his speech at the awards ceremony at Africa Restaurant in Bakuli where the motorsport governing body (FMU) and Central Motor Club that organised the Race to Race sprint awarded the winners.

“This is a good gesture to award the winners and fans as you have done today but I want to warn those fans who want to bring their hooliganism at competitions that we shall arrest then and charge them,” Serowen stated.
 

“I hear there was throwing of stones at competitors and blocking roads after some competitors had passed, but any fan we shall arrest engaged in that activity will be prosecuted,” Serowen stressed.
