Portuguese international striker, Cristiano Ronaldo is in a fitness race ahead of next week’s 2014 World Cup opening match against Germany but after months of struggling with a persistent knee injury, a Ghanaian witch doctor has come forward claiming that put a hex on the Ballon d’Or winner.

In an interview with Angel FM radio station, via The Guardian, Nana Kwaku Bonsam is claiming responsibility for the tendinitis in Cristiano Ronaldo’s left knee, stating that once the 2014 World Cup groups were drawn, he conjured a hex to limit the Real Madrid star’s influence on their Group G match against Ghana on 26th June, but may be collaterally benefiting Germany and the United States as well.

“I know what Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is about, I’m working on him.

“I am very serious about it. Last week, I went around looking for four dogs and I got them to be used in manufacturing a special spirit called Kahwiri Kapam.

“I said it four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World Cup or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana and the best thing I can do is to keep him out though injury.”

Bonsam went on to guarantee that Cristiano Ronaldo will not recover from the injury and one of the most highly-anticipated stars will be limited or even out of the World Cup all together.

“This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury because it is spiritual. Today, it is his knee, tomorrow it is his thigh, next day it is something else.”
