Raymond Parwot thrills Ntinda in live performance

One good thing about music is that when it hits you, you feel no pain. These were words said by the late Jamaican reggae legend, Bob Marley.
We could say perhaps it’s the reason why many say it is food to the soul. But, it always makes a difference when you listen to music done by a greatly talented musician.
Little known, Raymond Parwot, 29 sincerely qualifies to be branded one considering the level of skill he exhibited last Wednesday evening as he performed live at Triple-R bar, along Ntinda-Stretcher road.
The revellers, most of them ardent lovers of acoustic soft rock music started streaming in around 8:00pm ready to be taken through a soothing session of back to back musical performances.
Raymond did not disappoint at all judging from the mood his fans were in each time he skillfully strum the strings on his guitar. His vocals were on point too.
He sang songs in various genres ranging from rock; to country; to jazz and of course, reggae.
He did various renditions to songs by music icons like Ronan Keating and Pink, among others.
The most captivating of them all was his performance of the late Marley’s Redemption song.
This got almost everyone singing along in a way that could have triggered a smile from the reggae legend. They say musical legends never die, right?
Raymond’s proficiency in these exotic genres of music left many wondering how much untapped talent there is in this part of the world.
This was catalysed by the fact that he also performed his own compositions and they too sounded equally sweet to the ear.
