WITH the newly redesigned track is ready for the fourth round of the Mountain Dew National Motocross Championship, Alistair Blick will be out to avenge Ali Omar’s previous two defeats in the 85cc category on Sunday at Garuga racing track.

Blick who lost to Ali in both the national motocross championship and the FIM Africa Central Africa Challenge targets this event to close the gap Omar is enjoying in the national standings.

Blick (150pts) who is  trailing by thirteen points will have to win all the three heats to reduce the margin to nine points.

“We have been training and we hope to get good results,” Alistair’s manager Arthur Blick Jnr stated.

Blick has been out of the country to purchase spare parts for the bikes and he is optimistic that his riders will perform.

The riders will use the challenging track that was filled with sand to suit international standards as they prepare for the second round of the FIM Africa Central Africa Motocross Championship in Nairobi in August and the continental championship in Zambia the same month.

Meanwhile the 2009 MX2 champion Olivier Van Pee believes he will use this event to prepare himself for the Africa Championship.

“I have not been riding but I am out to use this event to prepare myself for the FIM-CAC and Africa Championship so that I collect maximum points for Uganda in the events,” Olivier stated.
