KAMPALA - The former public service state minister in the NRM government Rhoda Kalema has urged the leadership of the country to use the Bible in nation building.

She said this during her 85th birthday celebrations at Bible House in Kampala on Saturday.

"Let us pray that the leadership of our country will uphold the use of the Bible in the task of nation building," said the octogenarian.

Kalema, who was in the National Resistance Council (NRC) and Constituent Assembly (CA), still exhibited her energy of her active years as she majestically cut her birthday cake before several guests.

The former deputy Katikiro of Buganda Godfrey Kaaya Kavuuma bought the portrait of Kalema and the money is to be used to buy Bibles in order to advance the gospel of Christ in the nation.
