Man beheads 7-year-old girl in Wakiso

Tragedy befell Buloba village in Wakiso district when an unidentified man beheaded a 7-year-old Carol Asero. Asero is born to Raphael Okyego and Jackie Ayite.

The gut wrenching incident happened Thursday. After slaughtering Asero, the suspect, placed the knife on the floor, left the girl in a pool of blood, closed the door and asked the neighbors the whereabouts of Carol and her mother before boarding a taxi heading to Kampala.

 “We saw a man coming out from Asero’s parent’s home, he stood at her door for some good minutes and asked for the mother’s contacts but none of us had the number, and since we knew that Asero was in the house sleeping, we did not care to find out who he was,” said a neighbor.

Another resident said that she saw unidentified man coming from a nearby bar and heading to where the incident happened but she did not bother much.

Jackie Ayite weeps

Her mother, Jackie Ayite, who works at a flower company, cursed the murderer, “he would have killed me but not my daughter.”

“You would have waited for me to come back. Bu why kill my daughter,” she cried.

The Buloba Police station boss, Godwin Ochaki, said they have launched investigations into the gruesome murder.
