FUFA Competitions committee (FCC) has confirmed May 9 as the kick-off date for the first leg of the Uganda Cup semi-finals.

URA, SC Victoria University and Jinja Municipal Council are the teams that have already secured places in the semi-final. KCC FC square off with Lweza FC for the other remaining slot on Friday.

While addressing the weekly FUFA press conference on Wednesday, the FCC manager Ali Mwebe announced that Mbale Municipal Stadium will host the final on May 31.

Mwebe explained that the final has tentatively been fixed for May 31 subject to Uganda Cranes’ involvement in the 2015 Nations Cup campaign.

It is not yet clear whether the Cranes will be handed a home or away fixture on the same weekend the Uganda Cup final has been earmarked to be played in Mbale.

The first leg fixtures will see URA take on Jinja Municipal Council FC while Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) take on either KCC FC or Lweza.
