Farmers in Palwo and Paidwe parishes in Bobi Sub-county Gulu district are counting losses after heavy rain with hailstones destroyed their crop gardens in last evening’s down pour.

One of the affected farmers only identified as Olobo, says he lost two acres of maize and one and a half acres of beans and sim sim.

He worries that he may not be able to plant again this season because he lacks seeds.

Other farmers in the villages have also expressed worry that they risk losing more crop gardens since the rains are too heavy.
