EXPERIENCE proved decisive as swimmers from the Seals Club came top at the annual Seeta High School annual age group swimming gala at Seeta High School on Saturday.
Seals’ Nuwa Ssenkebe walked away with three medals as his club topped the one-day championship held at the schools’ pool.
He received medals for being the best overall boy and for posting the best time on top of being the best in his age category (13-14) years.

Katrina Sara Ssangalyambogo also won the best overall girls accolade at the championship that attracted swimmers from four clubs.
Alexis Kituka and Mercedes Aman of the Seals that is comprised of swimmers from 7 schools were also the best in the 12 and under and 13-14 years categories respectively.
Olympian Jamila Lunkuse, back on holiday led the Seals’ charge winning the opening day’s 400m freestyle race in 5:28:78 in the 15-17 years’ category.
Her win was followed by successive wins from Anthea Mudanye (100m freestyle) Mercedes Aman and Ann Mudanye (13-14 years) with Nicole Lutalo also winning her heat in the same category.
Rachael Ssengonzi (12 and under) and Katrina Ssangalyambogo (13-14) were also outstanding in the 50m morning session butterfly heats.
