Will Tornado B keep their perfect record going or will they suffer the unwanted curse of peaking too early and succumb to a KICC sucker punch?

Quarterfinals
Tornado B v KICC
Nile v Wanderers
Tornado v Jinja SS
Charity v Challengers

Will Tornado B keep their perfect record going or will they suffer the unwanted curse of peaking too early and succumb to a KICC sucker punch? Will Jinja SS stretch their fairy-tale run or will Tornado’s pedigree prove too much to handle?

Will Nile maintain their unexpected form and help the Wanderers relinquish the burden of defending champions and just what will determine the tantalising clash between Charity and the Challengers?

These are the kind of questions trending in the UCA T20 League now that the quarterfinal line-up has been finalised. You could argue that Tornado B, Tornado and Nile have clear paths to the semi-finals after securing winnable last-eight encounters but this is T20 cricket. There is always the risk of an upset.

Not that they have been that many after Tornado B went through Group A with a perfect record while Charity lost only once, the same number of defeats suffered by Nile and Tornado in Group B.

But maybe the knockout stage will throw up unexpected storylines. That at least is the hope.
