The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has launched another phase of the “Catch them young” initiative in which it aims to recruit in massive numbers of students of major universities in Uganda.

The new phase of the initiative was launched on Tuesday at Nkumba University in what it calls the NSSF Career Expo under the theme “Don’t Grass after Campus.”

According to David Agaba, a customer care officer, the initiative is a nationwide programme that focuses on university students who are about to leave campus and enter the job market.

“We are sensitizing them on the benefits of NSSF, and urging them to register and open accounts with NSSF,” said Agaba.

The workshop also involves training the students on career guidance by Bridgehead 24 Ltd which has partnered with NSSF to carry out the expo.

The corporate trainer at Bridgehead 24, John John Jacob said the training is a foundation that looks at everything else that a student require beyond academics that will put them on high demand in the job market.
