TORNADO B won all their games during the 2013 Multiple Industries Division 1 Cricket League.

They remain the only unbeaten team in this year’s UCA T20 National League. Ominous!

Nicholas Kebba scored 22 runs and Roger Mukasa took 3/9 as Tornado B survived Charity by nine runs in Group A’s top-two clash on Saturday, then sat back and watched the only other unbeaten run come to an end on Sunday.

Suleman Sharif was the chief culprit as KICC ended Tornado’s perfect record at five wins following a dramatic encounter at Lugogo. KICC defeated Tornado in the super over, thanks to Sharif’s audacious 28 runs.

Sharif ruthlessly blasted Tornado captain Frank Nsubuga in the eliminator, reaching his total off six balls to set up a shock win for KICC. Earlier, Sharif had claimed 3/13 as KICC bowled out Tornado for an unimaginable 38 runs in 11.2 overs, with Muhumuza scoring a team-best 16 off 21 balls.

But despite Sharif’s 28 runs, KICC could only tie the game after collapsing to 38 runs all out in 13 runs.

Tornado B remain top of Group B with 20 points from five games but KICC climb to second, slashing the deficit to four points.

Charity remain top of Group A with 24 points but have played a game more than Tornado, in second, a further four points behind.

Meanwhile, Tornado’s winning run in competitive matches from last year currently stands at 19 games. Needless to add, and counting…
