A senior four student in Kyenjojo district has reportedly committed suicide in the school’s dormitory.

Alex Akugizibwe aged 17, a student of St. Adolf Secondary School is reported to have used a rope to hang himself in his dormitory on Monday evening while his fellow students were in class for night preps.

This is according to the DPC Kyenjojo, Mbabazi Martin.

Mbabazi says preliminary investigations indicate that the student could have committed suicide over embarrassment after a stolen text book was discovered in his suitcase.

This incident comes less than a week after another student at Trinity College Nabingo committed suicide in the dormitory.
