The officers handed over their office files, phones, keys, their guns and stamps to their successors yesterday. The handover was overseen by the Regional Police Commander Kampala East, Siraje Bakaleke under the directive of Kampala Metropolitan Police boss, Andrew Felix Kawesi.

The officers were arrested on Sunday evening by Kawesi after he carried out an impromptu visit to their various Police stations and posts, only to find many of them locked while others were under manned.
